In the year 2016, AJIET was started in the heart of the Mangaluru city with 5 courses in Bachelor of Engineering (BE) including Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) to offer under graduation in computer science. The CSE course has a total annual intake of 60 students and had the maximum demand for the student admission in the current academic year. We are in 21st century and Computers have turn into a common and required part of life in present’s society, making IT education became essential and computer engineer’s plays a vital role in national development.

The department of CSE was started following exactly as per the norms & regulations of AICTE & VTU and has qualified faculty members of more than 10 years teaching and research experiences including a Professor with PHD and another faculty is pursuing his Doctoral degree in Computer Science. In addition to their dedicated service in professional teaching and moulding students in all directions essential to succeed in today’s competitive world, faculty members also actively involved in various research activities in various fields of computer science. The faculty members have published 2 books and 75 research articles in various reputed and peer reviewed journals and conferences which are indexed and achieved in various scientific and research databases like SCOPUS/DBLP/SPRINGER/IEEE/ACM etc. The department also organized number of technical training programs/workshops/seminars to students and faculties to acquire additional knowledge and skills in various areas of computer science.


To coup up with the evolutionary changes in computer science and make the students to excellence in cutting edge technology as well as research in computer science with an aim to be a part of nation building.

  • To create an environment in such a way that students should acquire knowledge beyond the class room by setting up a strong industry- institute interaction and learning process.
  • To build an active and evolving research environment involving both faculty and students with an aim to solve IT related scientific, technological and nation building problems.
